In January we were approached by Mr & Mrs M who, pre Covid, ran a successful Day Nursery business.
Understandably the business had been put under financial pressure during this time, so when the bank they had been with for years wanted to discuss reviewing the mortgage terms with addition security they approached us to release capital at a time when banks would not.
Within a week we were able to fully assess the business “in-house” using current and historic accounting information. We provided an offer to buy the business premises allowing them to release 100% of the bricks and mortars market value. Our funds were used to pay off the exiting lenders mortgage in addition to releasing a significant sum of capital back to the owners personally.
The trading business ownership remained unaffected, and no disruption was caused.
We use our own funds and, in most cases, do not require a valuation before completion.
The owners enjoy a 25-year commercial lease which gives them security of knowing the business has a long-term home.
